The Writing & Speaking Lab
The Writing & Speaking Lab at 污榴莲视频 is dedicated to helping students strengthen their communication skills and succeed in both writing and speaking assignments across academic disciplines. Students may bring any type of written assignment鈥攊ncluding essays, discussion posts, research papers, lab reports, and more鈥攆or individualized assistance. Tutors can help students throughout the writing process, from brainstorming and organization to drafting, revising, and polishing a final submission.
The Lab also supports students with speech writing and public speaking assignments. Students can receive help developing and organizing speeches, creating outlines, strengthening introductions and conclusions, preparing presentation materials, and practicing delivery. Tutors can also provide feedback on areas such as clarity, organization, audience engagement, pacing, and overall presentation skills.
The Writing & Speaking Lab is located in 124 Logan Hall. During the Spring and Fall semesters, in-person hours are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Thursday. No appointment is necessary.
During the Summer semester, The Writing & Speaking Lab is available for virtual appointments only. Scheduling information is made available at the beginning of the Summer semester.
